بادئات SI: في العمل تكون قيم القياسات أكبر أو أصغر كثيراً من أن تُدار بالوحدات الأساسية وحدها، ولذلك تُستخدم البادئات التالية في الإلكترونيات:

97.6 MHz = 97 600 kHz (أو 97 600 000 Hz)                     97.6 MHz = 97 600 kHz (or 97 600 000 Hz)

طريقة الاستخدام: عند تحويل وحدة أو صيغة اكتب كل الخطوات بدقة.
Usage
When converting a unit or a formula write down all steps carefully.

لا تفعلها ذهنياً! فمن السهل أن يسقط صفر أو أن يُوضع الفاصلة العشرية في مكان خاطئ. Do not do it mental! A 0 is lost and a . is put at a wrong place easily.

- احفظ التسلسل: للأرقام الأكبر من الوحدة: kilo – mega – giga -  Learn the sequences. For numbers which are bigger than the units: kilo – mega – giga
وللأرقام الأصغر من الوحدة: milli – micro – nano – pico     and for number smaller than the unit: milli – micro – nano – pico
- وتذكّر أن الخطوة بين البادئة التالية أو السابقة هي -  Remember that the steps between the following or the previous prefix is the
المعامل 1 000     factor 1 000
- أثناء التحويل تبقى القيمة نفسها؛ فحين تكبر البادئة-   During converting the value remains the same. When the prefix gets bigger
(mega بدل kilo) يجب أن يصغر الرقم (1 بدل 1 000).     (mega instead of kilo) the number must get smaller (1 instead of 1 000)

أمثلة: 1 A = ? mA Examples:  1 A = ? mA
الفرق بين A وmA هو 1 000، و                 the difference of A to mA is 1 000
mA أصغر من A، لذلك يجب أن يكبر الرقم (× 1 000)                mA is smaller than A. So the number must get bigger (x 1 000)
1 A = 1 000 mA                 1 A = 1 000 mA

2.2 KΩ = ? Ω                 2.2 KΩ = ? Ω
الفرق بين KΩ وΩ هو 1 000، و                 the difference of KΩ to Ω is 1 000
Ω أصغر من KΩ، لذلك يجب أن يكبر الرقم (× 1 000)                 Ω is smaller than KΩ. So the number must get bigger (x 1 000)
2.2 KΩ = 2 200 Ω                 2.2 KΩ = 2 200 Ω

3 000 V = ? kV                 3 000 V = ? kV
الفرق بين V وkV هو 1 000، و                 the difference of V to kV is 1 000
K أكبر من V، لذلك يجب أن يصغر الرقم (÷ 1 000)                 K is bigger than V. So the number must get smaller (/ 1 000)
3 000 V = 3 kV                 3 000 V = 3 kV

94.5 MHz = ? Hz                 94.5 MHz = ? Hz
الفرق بين M وHz هو 1 000 000 (وkilo بينهما)                 the difference of M to the Hz is 1 000 000 (kilo is in between)
Hz أصغر من MHz، لذلك يجب أن يكبر الرقم (× 1 000 000)                 Hz is smaller than MHz. So the number must get bigger (x 1 000 000)
94.5 MHz = 94 500 000 Hz (أو 94 500 kHz)                 94.5 MHz = 94 500 000 Hz (or 94 500 kHz)
